Ed Jones (member of the "Bridge Builders" and their business manager) has advised that the special audio tape made for Reunion '98 is near completion.
The tape, featuring "Ugly Angel" and also containing other Vietnam oriented selections will be mailed out soon to those who purchased them in Pensacola.
Ed has advised that they encountered some technical difficulties with the recording studio and that it had caused delays in the final production.
He apologizes on behalf of the group and appreciates the patience shown by those who ordered and paid for the tapes in September.

USMC/VIETNAM HELICOPTER ASSOCIATION MAILING LIST

Gentlemen,

We need your assistance.
Wally Beddoe, our webmaster, and I have put the finishing touches on our website entry, the "Squadron Patches" page.
The page consists of all the patches that were reproduced on the covers of the '98 Association Directory, plus a few more.
We see this as laying the foundation for a project that we can build upon.
You will notice that we have included a number of in-country Call Signs next to the patches.
Although extensive, our display of patches and list of Call Signs is incomplete.
We need your help in completing the project.

We would like you to review the website page.

After having done so, reply to this message with any additions and/or corrections that you see as necessary to make the display accurate.
If you have additional versions of Official and Unofficial Patches that we can use, please send them as an attachment in JPEG format.
If you have additional Call Signs that were used in Vietnam by your Squadron(s), let us know so that we can add them to the list.
If we have posted certain Call Signs with the wrong version of a Squadron Patch, let us know that too.
Please respond if you have additions or corrections to make.
We are attempting to piece together 13 years of USMC Helo involvement in the war.
With your help we can get it all covered and reflect everyone's Squadron and Call Sign.

Thanks and Semper Fi,

Rog

An addition to the "Pop A Smoke" website has been the "Squadron Patches" page.
Patches representing all of the USMC Helicopter Squadrons that were in-country are now displayed in two different places.
They are shown on the aforementioned page and also on the individual Squadron E-mail lists.
The patch images have generated a lot of interest.
We are receiving a number of E-mails about the availability of the patches.
Unfortunately, the Association does not have any patches that are available for sale to the membership.
The renditions that we used are the result of several months of research and reproduction from various sources.

Semper Fi,

Rog
